Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

MESSAGE TO SHAREHOLDERS

Reading posts below, you have a Sr. Director, "Big D", that has stated the poorly executed transition to NCR can not be rectified as it should, (bringing back out sourced MST staff), due to obligation to "shareholders" and costs. I ask you this, and hopefully a qualified CEO will respond. You have a greater obligation to the stores team, for without us you do not have shareholders. We have an escalating serious problem with the IT support, or should I say lack of, that is affecting the service to our customer and we are losing sales because of it.

NCR on Probation, REALLY!!!!! I would say this poor performance in only 3 months should equate to "YOU ARE FIRED"! You expect us to go into 4Q with lack of IT support and make plan? I think not. We have too much at risk, and if you have to be told this, you should be looking for another job. I would call the executives that made this decision before the shareholders and let them go , without severance!

For every problem there is a solution. You know the solution for this one, call our MST staff back!

Yeah from what I am hearing is Mike D is scrambling trying to get things done by NCR that he forgot to put in the contract, trying to get old MST team members to do it off the books in other words trying to cheat NCR because he made a mistake. But we field team knew he made a mistake because he never knew what we did in the stores to start with he is and will always be clueless

Lol we are having better service in our store now with NCR. No more waiting 2 weeks to get anything done. One tech is a former Macy’s MST, the other 2 we see are new to our site. Everything going smoothly right now. No complaints.

Being of those MST techs that was let go, i have no intention on ever coming back to Macy's. They did me a favor by letting me go. I have been the happiest I have ever been. There is no doubt that the higher ups sold a bill of goods to NCR without the full picture. There is now way they could afford to outsource us for what they are paying and have a seamless transition. The higher ups didn't even have a clue what we even did and to what extent. I feel bad for the stores, but not for the company. They have brought this on themselves. It is only a matter of time.

I wonder what will happen when I direct my management team and Ops not to spend a portion of their day troubleshooting and fixing broken equipment? I wonder what will happen when 1/2 of my registers are down for BTS sales, not to mention Thanksgiving. Are you calculating how much time you are taking from the management staff in stores to do this job. Re-opening cases that get closed with no repair, hauling broken registers off the floor and pulling training registers? Not to mention the tablets that do not function properly. Looks like you are going to find out.
