Areas and positions that are declared surplus will have a specific number of off-payroll staff permitted to leave.
Geographic Areas that not declared surplus will still have a limited offering.
CWA/IBEW has been assured that essential positions vacated by senior staff will be filled through SPV's first then new hires.

It is confirmed. Company informed union verbally. Written confirmation by last week in October. Paperwork to be sent out first week of November.

Perhaps you haters didn’t hear....company informed the union verbally in September about an upcoming eisp. They will present it to the union in writing by the end of October. Company will start mailing packages to employees the first week of November. FACE!!

If a offer is coming, and being hashed out, news usually starts from a leak from those involved and will not be advertised as its a liability to company structure. The rumors are strong, investment firms have pushed for future business with potential retirees, which is a good sign, without elaborating of any said offers coming, again, they are liable to speak on behalf of a company making any such future offers. So you read between the lines and hope for the best. All logical signs point to a offer, from wall street to investment firms to what appears to be less work in summer than usual. Locals will not confirm until company makes a plan to actually present it. Anything can change like the wind, at any given moment, including potential offers (pull back or push ahead). Just wish for the best if your looking to go. Rumors look good, info has some structure...but realistically, you know it will happen when it does.
