Middle management is the real problem

Anyone below third level from top and just above people who does the actual work must be terminated first but that did not happened. Instead , these middle management targeted the actual hard worker that actually builds the company .

Terminating middle management is possible by introducing the real agile, this will flatten the hierarchy and makes team productive there by bring value.

i happen to be a middle manager and to say i dont work is truly offensive. i by no means make any decision on who is let go and who stays..that all happens above me..same as ratings and salary increases. i am basically just the grunt worker who does everything senior managers do not want to do but with much kess pay than them. if you want to clean house start from the top down..and all the peope who have office's..

Unfortunately there are many managers who know how to BS extremely well but does not work nor know how to manage. They don’t really want be people to speak up unless you want to lose your job. They just want yes people who will follow orders without any push back. Contrary to what management says, history is important. It tells you so much including the managers. I’m not against hiring young employees but I am against kicking out good experience employees just to have a younger person with more computer skills but no people or business skills. The reality is BNYMellon doesn’t have enough good managers in all levels and clearly do not know how to manage people or talent. These weak managers are hurting the organization and their bonus should reflect accordingly. Also if some these managers are rated BE, why should they have the ability to evaluate employees? Too much bias and untruths. What’s being done to fix this? All talk in town halls around the world and blogs but where’s the actions???

Middle management isn’t the issue. It’s the top couple layers of management that’s collecting all the money and making poor decisions about the direction of the bank.

& Agile It’s just a new buzzword all of the landings are clean to.
