Smart sentence. Reminded me of my 9th grade English class.
They decided to lay off ten people who were laid off in a round of layoffs. Does this help?
"Promoted to customer"
And after the fact it is "impacted" - as in "I heard Joe was impacted" - not rif'd, not layed off ..
get Hans'd
My favorite
Separated from the payroll.......
Fired
Neither. Its fired or kicked to the curb.
Some companies utilize the term limited restructuring.
Fire employees for non-performance related issues, while replacing them with temp workers or cheap foreign labor. A few VPs receive enormous bonuses.
AKA:
WFR = work force reduction
All three are correct.
AKA:
Downsizing
Restructuring
Being let go
There are probably lots of others too.
None of the above..... It is called "RIF'd..Reduction In Force. Examples: "I got Rif'd.." , "They are going to RIF 3K in Marketing"
