Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Is this a strict layoff topic site or can other important topics on Chevroids mindS be allowed not strictly related to layoffs be allowed?

I keep seeing a comment pop up asking-stating that this is a Layoff off site And lets get back on topic whenever posts-comments stray off a strict adherence to the layoff topic. I have also seen posts taken down when the topic is on an important company issues that should be discussed but the site handler felt it was not a strict layoff topic. Yes, names, vulgarity, slander, etc should not be allowed. But there are some topics that Chevroids want-need to discuss and this site allows that. Especially right now its a good place to immediately share all sorts of info in this once in a lifetime (hopefully) world event. If you can’t discuss it here where can you discuss it within chevron anonymously? I look at this site as a place to get a feel of what is on folks mind and find some good insights from some posts. Sadly there are some immature trolls that have to be ignored but trolls just go with the territory. Hopefully executives and management are confident enough and want to know what people are thinking and visit, ie comments on Wirths townhall. This site will be even more important as folks work from home and become isolated from one another.

What do you think? Why do you goto this site? Should we be able to post non layoff topics? Given interrelated oil, virus, economic events should there be more flexibility on posts allowed? How can this sire be made better (ignore trolls on this one)?

Topics related to layoffs or potential layoffs are okay. That pretty much sums it up. Go somewhere else to chit-chat or gossip about unrelated topics.

The website is call www.thelayoff.com. What brought you here and what do you think would be discussed? There are many many websites on the internet that discuss company matters for all companies. Google is your friend. Oh, and yes, this comment will shortly be deleted. Anything and everything that would dissuade any internet traffic of any type which benefits ad revenue will also be deleted by the moderators. Commonly known fact. They're not fooling anyone.

Pretty much everything that is work-related or impacts employees and former employees flies, But the site is moderated, so if you try to discuss religion, politics or bring out racial issues, it will get nuked.
Mods also don’t allow naming names (except for c-suits as they are public figures), too much swearing and posting a personal insult.

This site is better than the kiss a– Work Place! I welcome any and ALL things Chevron, good and bad. There are knowledgeable folks here that can share wisdom and info, then you have jerks. You have to know to disregard the asses that love to troll the site.

OP comment is too long. Keep it brief. Topics related to layoffs or potential layoffs are okay.
