Nothing from Angela Brav.
Nothing from the Country Leaders.
I am lucky because I have a great manager who keeps me informed.
But I want to hear from our leaders, because I know that our financial position is fully broken, and I know then are going to fire us all but they are too ashamed to communicate.

Yes 784 others and they disclosed everyone’s private email address!
Can’ even follow Data Protection correctly what hope so we have in this dire situation when she gets basics wrong.. don’t companies get sued for doing this?
Next communication to UK Employees will be something along the lines of...
You are invited to a meeting.
Then...
You (group of people) are at risk of redundancy, there will follow a consultation period, at the end of which etc etc etc.
It’s coming.
Received a business update from Angela for Tuesday together with 784 others. It’s been cancelled now! Intriguing!
Mass redundancy is clearly coming, start reading your rights.
Anyone know what went down with Karla??
Is that from a reliable source the mass redundancies?
Expect a major redundancy announcement in the UK very soon. I hope you all have been using time in furlough to prepare your CV’s and start your job search.
This is what’s coming next...
Employers will have to pay quarter of the wages of furloughed staff

HESC got an email at 2.55 am from the CEO so just as the press release went out
Hertz Employee whomever your are?
Although you should be dissatisfied having to read the bankruptcy news on Google after strolling through the many comments on here you seem to think that Angela Is some how capable of leadership I’m sorry to let you know that’s perhaps expecting to much?
One of the very first comment’s a quote from Angela “I care about the people here”!! Followed with “I care about the Coffee” followed by “I love myself and will take all the credit for the great things you will do” The common word is I!
Me myself and Angela I I and
Perhaps the hapless comm’s team will be able to pull something together sometime next week, Kathy’s leaving was also kindly communicated via google.
Note to self, stay tuned to google it’s more reliable.
Dear Angela and Hertz Europe leadership team,
So the various news channels have finally reported that Hertz has filed for Chapter 11. As a long serving Hertz employee, spending half my adult working life in Hertz, I had no idea what was going on and had to find out through frantically googling “hertz bankruptcy” on a Friday night. As a responsible employer and frankly common human decency, it would have been the least you could do to let us employees know what is happening? Our livelihoods depend on Hertz. That’s how I pay for my mortgage, the food I eat, the water I drink.
What’s going to happen to us?
We know the senior leaders are reading this yet it still doesn’t prompt them to make any communication with their teams. The senior leaders are sitting there with their 100% salary while their teams are sat at home with their families fretting about the future. Beyond rude.
Unfortunately YES....that’s why nothing is happening..
Angelaaaaaaa are you still in the UK?
Hilarious that you think managers know what’s going on.
I’m a Senior Director and I haven’t heard a thing.
It is beyond embarrassing, and I am now ashamed to work for Hertz. Who would have thought that Leadership could have become worse than ever before?
I am sorry for all of my colleagues out there not knowing what’s going on. I can only hope that this communication fiasco improves after the weekend - I base that on the assumption that 22 May is the next deadline.
Has anyone’s manager in the UK contacted them about the furlough extending beyond June?
Still Silent😡!!!!
Wig is brutal, if it’s not a Wig it’s even more Brutal.
Looks all trailer trash to me including the 80’s padded shoulder outfits.. Fake... hope Stone comes over here fast as Kathy was obviously blind deaf and dumb..
It's a very nice wig. Really expensive.
Before you get too misty-eyed over Michel, don't forget he was fired because he resolutely failed to provide a solution to the declining revenue and shocking EBITDA.
If he was that smart he would have retired early in glory instead of being escorted out of the building like a criminal.
He's now releasing pop videos for his cronies to 'like' on LinkedIn.
Really Angela Brav is Michel in a wig and a skirt.
You have no idea both as mental as each other it’s the reincarnation, if you heard the BS that comes from her mouth you would know, Wig is the give away though.
No communication because Michel Taride isn't there anymore steering the ship.
I wish I could say that no one has been made redundant in Europe because Hertz cares for us and want to preserve our jobs. Hertz just doesn’t want to pay the redundancy payments and now they have relied so much on the various European government schemes they have forgotten how to wipe their own a*$e.
It’s actually really annoying that the European Governments are left bailing out Hertz here and their own US Government aren’t giving them a penny. Our Government are being saddled now with their debts. In Ireland 500 odd employees have been either furloughed or put on the wage subsidy scheme and still working full hours, so the government here is effectively paying the guts of Hertz wage bill.
https://nypost.com/2020/05/19/hertz-wants-to-keep-european-business-solvent-as-it-eyes-bankruptcy/
What's funny is the line: 'The company’s European division is stronger financially than the US arm as a larger percentage of its fleet of cars can be sold back to automakers at guaranteed prices, according to sources.'
According to sources. Not any source I've heard over in Europe for the last 10 years.
And how annoyed are our US colleagues going to be with the line: 'Hertz Global Holdings wants to keep its business in Europe solvent as it prepares for a possible bankruptcy filing in the US, The Post has learned.'
Ouch.
Marinello gone.
Replaced by Stone.
Share price rallied yesterday, but let’s be clear on some fundamentals over here in Europe...
- Stone has no experience in a CEO role. Speculation is that he’s holding the fort pending bankruptcy/CH11 announcement, deadline being end Fri 22 May.
- Stone doesn’t have any experience of Global operations, but that’s OK because Àngela Brav knows everything about how to run a franchised global hotel business. Hang on...
- Revenue down dramatically, with extremely slow recovery - airlines and hotels are a good indicator and they are both looking bleak. We have lost the 2020 profit making months.
- Europe is over-fleeted. Whilst we have been able to defleet and de-commit, there are still far too many vehicles for the current and projected(!) level of business.
- Revenue/Pricing/Sales/Marketing are lost at sea. Utilisation and RPD are appalling. Massively down vs Last Year, further highlighting our overfleeted position.
- Given our fleet and revenue position, and the bleak outlook, isn’t it interesting that there has been no restructuring in Europe. Why? 12,000 (more than a third) have lost their jobs in the USA, and the latest news from the States is that more are being laid off from furlough.
- The people put in charge of EU Organisation design don’t have a clue (they weren’t very good at leadership & development, so why would they be any good at Org design?) and Pricing/Revenue/Sales/Marketing are equally unable to give insight into the future revenue position to design the new organisation.
- Redundancies are coming - put simply, and given the above there is no choice. But at the moment Europe seems to be caught between taking the government employee protection grants and being able to make a decision in what the organisation will look like after all this.
- Don’t worry, we have an excellent leadership team.
Not sure why your expecting any communications had to read the CEO had left online!!
Just a minor thing no need to tell anyone???
Comms only comes from this site now or Google..
Has there been any communication about furloughs being extended?
I thought Àngela was going to get the top job? That’s what she told us the other day.
Does this mean that we will see an end to the useless feckers from the airlines and hotels (you know who you are in Europe).
Now we can replace them with useless feckers from supermarkets.
I look forward to Hertz becoming more like Tesco.
The end is nigh.
I just hope Nayan gets buggered soon.
Oh, my European colleagues who read this because they aren’t getting any internal comms - that grumpy old bird in America just got binned.
Looks like a change of leadership over in the US. Any changes in Europe? Is AB still the president? Will we ever have any communication from the company?
Agreed Brav is probably the most clueless Operations Leader EVER it’s practically mental how bad.
Added to her zero knowledge of strategic planning, has to be explained the numbers on at least 20 occasions and then complains people are over complicating them, and wants it simplified yes 1+1=2 that’s pretty much a stretch.
Can barley use her computer for basics anything beyond an email is not It possible, was their no skill assessment for this Job???
Revenue she’s does not show up incase she gets asked a question, and figuring out the basics of how we actually make money forget it.
Oh and the closed canteen she spent thousands painting in Feb while clearly profits were falling from a cliff. I don’t have enough time to cover everything here but her incompetence is what she’s known for and that simply horrific.
I really want to come back to Hertz after this but please find at least one brain cell to lead us as the cardboard place holder only has one function OFF...
I saw that job ad on LinkedIn - how ridiculous that we should be recruiting maternity cover for a Compensation & Benefits manager. Can’t one of the other useless HR team cover this? I mean it’s not like they do much anyway, even at the best of times.
Maybe they need someone to calculate the Leadership team pay rises and bonuses after they successfully shagged the rest of us this year.
This really gets to the heart of why Hertz will go down - zero leadership ability to prioritise of what is needed to deliver the improvements needed. Years of highly paid feckwits making a pigs ear of it.
And as for the Bravmeister, oh my... She has no clue how to lead on operational business. She’s franchise through and through - this is her background @ IHG, and it shows.
You can tell that she is lost when it comes to working out the future shape of the organisation. No idea.
The other issue is that she’s surrounded by a bunch of baffoons - especially Mr. Peshwarinaan. A real test of any leader is to see this, and then fix it - great leaders are surrounded by great people. Diarrhoea is surrounded by flies. Just saying.
In other news...
The U.K. is back renting vans at a loss to the MOD. Who is making these decisions??? Seriously, if the rental doesn’t cover the full cost then DON’T RENT THEM!!!
Another great recruit - do we really want to have a UK GM (sorry, VP Operations - WHAT OPERATIONS) who is learning the ropes at this time? He knows how to d–k about with planes, but doesn’t seem to understand how to rent cars.
The first floor is advertised for rent - see Rightmove.
The good news is that the Town Hall is included in the available space for rent, so looks like they don’t plan to have any more mass gatherings where we are all lied to.
The catering contract has been cancelled - this is one of several indicators that the U.K. is about to move to the next stage - redundancy.
I trust your all ready for being done up the bum again.
Little Quiet on here guessing the news that Furlough has been extended is helping, do not be caught napping..
Interesting though Roberta Dublin Talent Lady. is posting jobs in Uxbridge on Linked in, perhaps they should consider the at risk people before apparently creating Comps and Benefits roles for external applicants!!!
And why do we need this positions for cupcakes??!!?
To Count how many we need because if we survive this year cupcakes will be an extravagance.
On other news US seems to be moving all it’s fleet before the 22nd to unknown locations before the dead line! And the stock price has collapsed, after Kathy’s positive remarks on the earnings call..she basically said she can’t see a way to survive 2020!!!!
Gran is claiming she’s the Heir in waiting and how she will do a much better job, if they make it out of Kathy’s reign she’s going to save everything🤔 no further comment.
But stay alert and all apply for the Comps and Benefits job you will master the skill of cupcake making.
Hertz has released Q1 results showing bigger losses than expected.
International Revenue 89m against 2019 97m so missed 8m not as bad as we have been lead to believe but problem is EBITDA -45m against 2019 -13m 👀🙊
Worse 32m YOY and Covid was not the main issue here, which points to everything else that’s on this page the leadership s—s..
Given our UK Town-Hall prior to Lockdown I mean it was like days before, seems months ago now but the town hall was focussed on what a bad job people did in 2019..
Arrogance is not a good trait people in glass houses and all that, 32m missing from Q1 I heard yesterday that majority was Feb not even March..
Based on this I would imagine that prospects after Furlough might be limited.
Also furlough is changing from August and employer’s are having to pay some, Travel Industry is basically closed for the summer, I’m thankful right now for Furlough but worried about what comes next.. it’s quiet Scary..
Say Europe is open until October is a big guess, we all depend on US, regardless government protection...
12,000 laid off in US according to Q1 earnings call.
In Europe governments are paying wages (or a proportion of them) as part of emlployee protection schemes.
As long as Hertz takes this money the jobs are safe. Some employees work, some schemes banned working (UK, but this will change).
The Government schemes run for different periods in each country. For example U.K. has just extended until 1 October.
Hertz cannot afford not to take these handouts, and cannot afford mass redundancy costs.
So yes, Americans being laid off whilst Europeans are protected. For now.
When the governments stop the firings will begin.
So im confused, Hertz is probably going out of business in USA and 10,000 of us got laid off in April but Europe is open until at least Oct?
Furlough scheme extended to October. No changes to the terms.
Communication is very poor here in HESC Dublin. The government wage subsidy scheme is set to run till June 19th but talk of it being extended. It’s gonna be interesting to see how it all unfolds in the coming weeks.
Something is definitely not right with AB. She came in October and then disappeared for months due to visa issues?
Question
Why does Angela Brav’s linked in have no connection to Hertz is still says Owner Principal of AB Consulting. Oh and for more information AB Consulting is not registered for tax or as an official company anywhere in the US, so either she was avoiding tax or more likely it’s just a made up BS company to make her look good.
Also in Companies House she is not associated with any Boards in Hertz every other leader held these positions, why would she not it’s a legal requirement in the U.K. for the leader of the company to have that liability It’s under the companies act, it’s to prevent mismanagement. WHY no association anywhere with Hertz.
Can’t check in other countries but it does mean if the company goes bankrupt or they break the law or anything happens to an employee example the Heathrow bus driver given no PPE she can’t be held accountable, no corporate responsibility, this has to be questioned basically she can’t be held to account she could simply pack her stuff and go..(if only) but as employees we have no protection if we go back to work and Health and Safety is not executed correctly and some one else gets sick or worse she can’t be help accountable corporate responsibility has been fully avoided.
Something is not right and we should be very concerned having a boss who’s can’t be held liable for any of her actions legally...more to come inside scoop coming soon.. just checking the actual legal requirement now.
