Leadership shakeups

Email from CEO Steve Hasker this morning informing that COO Neil Masterson is leaving TR.

There is speculation that the Chief Product Officer Salim Sunderji will be leaving TR soon as well as there is displeasure with his work or lack thereof.

There is also investor pressure to remove the other COO Brian Peccarelli as there have been a lot of issues.

Yeah leadership has been a problem Mary Alice is still there not sure why, very political and untouchable is the only reason because a board member support of Ed Clark is the whisper. And grossly overpaid after the sale of Financial and Risk I hear. Anyone know why she is still around ?

The changes were necessary, didn’t know Masterson and Peccarelli is awful at best and should have been gone years ago. Sunderji was a surprise, was the best leader in my 20+ years in Knowledge solutions. He brought us to 21st century in our technology, product and sales. Super engaged, personal and dynamic. I guess he lost out in the politics of the company.

Yes the prediction was correct. But they lost high performing exec in the change. 2 COOs was a bad idea and Brain has been asleep at the wheel for years as well as Stewart Beaumont. Salim a far as everyone who knows him was delivering great results.

This post and a few of the other recent ones naming specific executives sound like they were written by someone with an agenda.

Did anyone else catch the “One TR” reference in the announcement? Could it be possible that someone is finally being held accountable for the debacle we all know as LOTUS?

A good start! For years TR has been top heavy with managers and continues to be. Many of these managers - all on huge salaries/benefits - have consistently underperformed and have relied upon the old buddy system to get them through. Sam Cooke's song springs to mind here, "A Change is Gonna Come".

All makes sense, and not surprising at all, got to eliminate the dead weight. I wouldn't be surprised if they reconfigure the segments again. The leadership in Tax Pros is abysmal, Corporates and Legal seem good enough, it should go down to 2, or go back to where it was 2 years ago and have a separate group for strategic customers that sit on the side and manage all products.

The COO's were a head scratcher from the start, but Jim was loyal to his people, now with someone else calling the shots, it should go back to performance based, not excuse based. Tax Pros needs a complete overhaul, the sub segment leaders are in over their heads and have proven that the only thing they are good at is figuring out ways to pass the blame when they fail and looking for excuses.

All of the senior leadership should be removed and replaced with outside leaders that have relevant experience.
