I’m considering EOI after being with the company close to a decade. Without going into the reasons, I’ll like to know:
Will I qualify for unemployment if I take EOI? I am in CA. Is EOI considered a self / voluntary action, like quitting?
The company tells you it’s nobody else’s business if you pursue an EOI. Would you suggest giving your immediate supervisor a courtesy heads up of your plans prior to EOI (Assuming you have good relationship with your supervisor) ? Imagining the awkwardness were i was a supervisor and being notified of an EOI via a system message, without direct notice from that employee. How much in advance would you give them this heads up.
