This layoff, in addition to all of those since then are about as "transparent" as a bucket of muddy water. But if you look at it another way, it's VERY transparent. Women were especially targeted, and even more so if she were at the company for more than 15 years. They simply cut their highest wage base earners, period. And women, yet again got the shaft. When the MeToo moment ignited, only a handful of men were fired, and NOTHING else changed. Then when the BLM moment arrived on the heels of Covid19, the dam broke. I have seen some of the best LEADERS in the company fired without any reasonable cause, only to be replaced with quota-feeling people of color. Donahoe thinks the boxes have been checked, but I can tell you, NOTHING has changed, because it's the same bunch of white men making all of these decisions. The board has done nothing to change that, and neither has Mark Parker or Phil Knight. This is yet another example of how women always get the shaft, and this time...they took it yet again in the face of the BLM moment. Inclusion means for EVERYONE. Try again Nike, because if you keep it up, you'll never get it right so long as the same white guys of privilege are making the calls.
