Just a thought experiment for thought experiments sake....
If all 75,000 employees are laid off and we assume each employee cost ~$300,000 it would save the company $22.5 billion.
From published earnings report:
The dividend cost $14.7 billion
Capital expenditure plan $19 billion
Cash on hand $12 billion
Brent & WTI ~ $41/bbl
& A promise not to borrow any more money.
Just assumed the layoffs would have a bigger impact at achieving the objective vs the deficit. Interesting to just layout the numbers plain.
Dallas and planning have a serious task ahead. True magicians if it all works out without adding to the debt or selling some serious assets. Dallas and Spring playing the game on hard mode with employees who are at their lowest.
Best of luck to all.
