Nearly 200000 staff across DT. Even at 5 bucks an hour, thats a million bucks an hour to run the company. We have a long way to go
dell has been quietly laying off people for 12 months for those who don't know. Just a few here and there, this big round of layoffs was announced only because they needed to move faster. I am sure they will go back into quiet layoff mode after they release this large batch. The mandate from sr mgt to VPs and Directors is to re-evaluate your headcount needs monthly.

A co-worker was let go today. My manager said that “they” don’t know when they’ll finish.
unless they are cutting full teams there are only so many zoom meetings to HR people. Mehhh

No it will be a trickle... don’t want the news reporting on all of it at once. You still must try and preserve value to the stakeholders.
