Nearly 200000 staff across DT. Even at 5 bucks an hour, thats a million bucks an hour to run the company. We have a long way to go

dell has been quietly laying off people for 12 months for those who don't know. Just a few here and there, this big round of layoffs was announced only because they needed to move faster. I am sure they will go back into quiet layoff mode after they release this large batch. The mandate from sr mgt to VPs and Directors is to re-evaluate your headcount needs monthly.
