I retired after nearly 40 years. The Bloomberg article is right on target.
The fact is, when times are good (oil prices are high), the top execs take credit and take in obscene amounts of money. It’s nothing they did - the company lives and dies by oil prices.
Then when they make big-ticket decisions, they have been clueless. And who is suffering now for their incompetence? The workers.
The “leaders” will get their golden parachutes and sail off into the sunset. The poor working stiffs? No such luck.
