Moved to YouTubeTV when lost my discount and never looked back. Add Amazon Prime and you're set.
Just run a gig pipe to every home and put everything on the Internet.
Why compare 2 completely different platforms/ technologies? Makes no sense.
YouTubeTV = GOOGLE/ALPHABET
DirecTV = AT&T
Avoid anything AT&T. Any questions?
The service that's the best is the service with the content you want to watch...
I never watch TV simply for something to do. I watch programming that engages me and makes my time worthwhile. For many of us, there isn't one OTT service that does it all yet.
Only the viewer can decide the "best" product.
I'm on my second month of YTTV having lost my employee discount to DirecTV (laid off). So far, I really love it...I love the way it just works everywhere. DirecTV gave me so many issues trying to login from my phone or computer. YTTV I watch where I want. The DVR is unlimited. I wish it were better indexed, but it still works great.
youtubetv is better
I have YTTV and I am very happy with hit. I share the account with my brothers, each of us is chipping in 20 bucks and we are good to go. you get six accounts for 65 bucks per month.
DirecTV is solid to (IMHO) - but I think they will continue to struggle. I wish them all the best but it's an uphill battle for them.
YouTubeTV is so much better. There is an app for it on every TV, it's rock solid. DVR is unlimited. Works on all devices you have.
The con is lack of programming, but it's not too bad.
