I loved my job until April or so. After we came back from COVID all heck broke loose in IHX. We are micromanaged like never before and it is miserable. The ISMs and director are all miserable too. I thought it was just a month or two and not worried but it is getting worse and worse! What happened? Even those of us hitting good numbers it is like all the fun got taken out of the job. It is a constant beat down session and I overhear leadership complaining too. I say this and I am not even in the hot seat but seeing everyone around me miserable and it is terrible. I am trying to get out now but it is hard to find something that pays as well as I get now. Should I stick it out a little longer?

I guarantee the info that the frontline mgrs are getting is inaccurate. Our AVP, does not micromanage, it’s called providing guidance on how to WIN and make money. If you’re not meeting your goals, you should hold yourself accountable and not blame the ISM, Director or the AVP.
North Carolina ihx is a joke. That lady doesn’t know anything and all she does is run from one state to the next. I don’t know what’s she’s hoping to gain running. She knows nothing, blames everything on the avp and has no leadership skills whatsoever. They need to get rid of her
You think you have it bad? Out in the west our AVP is a buffoon who openly promotes fraud.
Western North Carolina is part of the Southeast. So half the state is in that region.
North Carolina is part of the northeast but the whole east region had the same AVP until the start of last month when the number of regions was increased for IHX so in NC things may be getting better now that you just got another AVP. The states with the other one are still stuck with the crazy guy.

Man I feel bad for you homie. I love my job here in north Florida. Our director was one of the best but is now leaving. Waiting to see who they put to replace him before I make my way to something else too bc my peace and joy will not be taken. Prayers for all of us

It’s the new AVP he micromanages down to the expert level and skips over directors completely. He treats ISMs like garbage and all that pressure rolls down on you! It isn’t going to change because he just took over so you need to find something else.
They cannot listen to you in a home with bluetooth it is not legal approved. Call HR and file an ethics complaint and it will get shut down.
I get my 40 ppv every month and don’t worry about anything else. My ISM leaves me alone but will probably be fired because half my team is sick so the team isn’t making numbers and now she is on a pip. It is pretty dumb!
Some people on my team are not selling just so our boss is fired.

Move on and find something better. It is not going to change.
I am an ISM and can confirm we are being held to a higher standard but that doesn’t mean it is a bad thing. High expectations are part of being in a winning team. There will be ISMs that won’t make it and that is okay! It is survival of the fittest and in the end IHX will be better off.

My boss is such a company man but he kind of broke down and told me it is hard right now with the new VPGM. I feel bad for him because he is tough but fair and I don’t want him fired just because we aren’t making our numbers thanks to a few people out sick for a week this month. He is a 3 time summit winning ISM but is going to get fired because employees are sick and stay home like they are supposed to. Shame on AT&T!
I work in Texas and IHX is as fun and good as ever! You must have a bad ISM or Director in NC
It is like my ISM isn’t my boss anymore. My director doesn’t even matter! Everything we do is what the AVP texted my boss about. It is like we report directly to the AVP! I am sick of him!
I am so glad this thread is here! I am glad to know it is not just our team I knew something was up. My ISM is worried she is getting fired and the whole team is so demoralized.
I hate our whole team being punished because some people don’t do their job. There are literally experts on our team purposely being absent and not selling because the AVP said on our region call if the team falls short he will fire the ISM. And our ISM is wonderful but he is in trouble because they are trying to sabotage him thinking he will be replaced with someone who will let them be slackers. I hate our new AVP and how he is tearing apart winning teams like this!

It def changed the last 6 months! The money is good and I sold enough I stayed out of trouble but everyone is miserable and I am too positive to be able to work in this kind of environment. I have a final interview with Verizon right now! Hoping to get out soon!
A friend of mine got covid and i didn’t and because I was in contact with her I am now out for 2 weeks unpaid even though I have no symptoms. That is how little IHX thinks of you! Get out now.
It isn’t what they are asking of us it is how they are asking. The new region bosses act like we are so beneath them. The region calls are more like a lecture and are demotivating. I miss the old east region and karen. She made you feel appreciated!

6 months from now they are going to wonder what happened to all the ISMs and directors who knew what they were doing.

I’ve been through bad leaders before and they usually learn quick or get promoted and move on. Hang in there! Yes the headcount thing is BS but keep fighting to stick it out and you will be better for it.
