Chevron is planning to exit 1600 and put everyone, Noble included, into 1400 and 1500.

Unless Chevron is listening to Gov. Abbott, this isn't going to happen until at least the Summer when those vaccinations should reach 50%. There may be some phased re-opening of the office for semi-critical positions, perhaps some 1- or 2-day per week returns, but don't expect the cafeteria to re-open or any support services to be available. You're better off staying at home.

@bsp, add my name to list of people who won’t be getting the inoculation. I don’t trust the efficacy of the vaccine, so won’t be getting it.

Who forced you to live an hour away? Move closer.
If Chevron wants to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to “lower carbon” then MW should let us keep working from home instead of forcing us to commute an hour each way.

Hot desks can reap vast savings on office space. Chevron could probably sell a tower or move the San Ramon office in to Houston. Imagine getting the CEOs desk as your hot desk for the day.
The downside is you no longer sit with your workgroup, unless some smart algorithm puts you together for the day.
BP in Houston is planning on splitting home/office with no more assigned office desks. Instead, they will have "hot desks" meaning you just grab one when you are there. I wouldn't be surprised to see Chevron do something similar.

Why are all so lazy? If you want to stay home just retire. It is that simple.
They are not worried, just jelous, as folks o. The payroll have the oppurtunity to stay home, watch Netflix, have their beer, and do minimal and get paid and have bonus and insurance, that is why they are jelous!
Why would people on the laid-off boards be concerned about when those who still have jobs need to start coming into the office again?
No you will be required to come in as usual, except for your Fridays off. Grow up, children.
People will definitely work from home Friday’s and possibly one other day per week. But being absent from the office will not be good for your career.
I bet Chevron offers a more flexible work from home policy at some point. Maybe 3 days in office 2 at home or something to that effect.

I expect a phased return to the office starting no later than April.
In Texas less than 9% are fully vaccinated after nearly 2.5 months of vaccination campaign. Even if they speed it up, it will be another 4 to 5 more mo ths to get to ~70% fully vaccinated and even then small kids are still at risk and have no defence or vaccine. The show off is ro ensure businesses such as restaurants and bar can survive and give some hope but work would be mostly conducted remotely until fall if not until end of the year.
