Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

“Leadership edge”

Why do this company’s training programs that should be interesting and helpful seem like punishments instead of rewards? These hr folks do not seem to have a clue. I want to live in their world! And the condescension is not helping.

They're not training you, they're showing you how GUILTY you are of not doing things the way they demand.

Training is simply liability limitation for the company. Period!

They are not training programs. You are scheduled to take them so if and when you get hurt, offend someone, violate some obscure security rule or whatever they will say you were trained and should have known better. Your Fault!

Ask any HR person how long they spend in a position before rotating or changing jobs.

If its corporate-sponsored you know it has to be valueless.
