I think Nike is considering a hybrid work model where you work some days remote and some in the office. But I wonder if Nike understands that for many of us a hybrid work model is more of a pain in the rear than working 100% on-site or 100% remote. I don’t want to have to maintain two separate work areas. Especially since I’ll have to haul a bunch of crud with me every time I switch locations, like some type of traveling nomad. I already have enough stress in my life without Nike adding the additional stressor of me working from two different places.
Rather than develop a blank corporate policy Nike should leave this decision to manager discretion. Nike: please let my manager do her job of managing me. She doesn’t need your “help” in determining whether I can or cannot be effective working remotely.
