Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Things have changed drastically

So much has changed since I started over 30 years ago and I don't want to really start over, only have a few years left but for all you folks out there that has very little time in Get the F*** Out Now and yes I am a manager. At one time we rewarded associates on there performance and no matter what the du–b as––s at Home Office think there are better workers out there than others and they deserve to be compensated more than a mere 2% raise every year along with the worthless ones. Have you noticed how the useless one are the ones that find the simplest reason to call in but yet they are still going to get the same raise as the ones that never miss. Simple solution would be to start reducing there quarterly bonus and distributing it to the associates who miss no work. If you do not have a problem being treated like the worthless than you are one of the worthless ones. If this nonsense happened 20 years ago I would not even be on here posting because my a–s would of left the company. Think about this it will take about 4 years now for you pay to increase a dollar or a little more so for all you that was bumped to 15 you will be making around 16 or a little more in 4 years and still struggling because that's not going to cover the cost of living increase. Now if you living on government assistance you will not care. By the way back in my younger days it was embarrassing if you had to be on any kind of handouts but it seems todays younger generations kind of expect that. Ive never seen so many people being so open about being of welfare.

It sucks because it’s a lot of jobs but this company needs to fail and be replaced with a few others. They get to a point that it’s just about money and that’s when they need to go.

I’m an ex manager at Sams club I left because I couldn’t find it in my heart to do what they wanted me to do to people that were actually doing their best for this company! I looked at my associates and I got sick about how they were treated! You are not worth anything to this company! They think you can be replaced in a hot minute! Until they can’t find a worker like you and after 10 tries they realize they should have treated you like a human being! If you can get out now cause they will never care about you!

You know, I read these comments and I can't imagine allowing some employees (associates) to get away with the way they act, the little they do and the rudeness they exude. However, since this is now allowed at Sam's and Walmart, I wonder if the powers that be ever thought about giving everyone 2 days off IN A ROW so they can have quality family or personal time instead of constant hatred and rudeness every work day at these evil workplaces!

What difference would it make whether this was happening 20 years ago or 30 years ago?

Very well said. It is sad that they do not care about us. In the past few days I have had people tell me how they do not fee respected or needed One gal who transferred out of bakery said it was best thing she ever did. This a sweet young talented cake decorator, who was treated like dirt. What is wrong with the management? We had so many call outs today, it was pathetic.
