None of the incompetent and deceptive executives and board members will go to jail.
Misleading investors, overstating revenues, understating debts, taking government subsidies for building networks they never delivered, taking tax cuts for promised jobs they never created, for off-shoring jobs that left American workers unemployed and dumping them to the government/taxpayer to pay unemployment benefits and subsidize health insurance, robbing the pension funds to prop up the cash flow, violating labor laws, etc, etc, etc..
Exactly WHO will sue them?
And that's what they're banking on, that nobody will or can.
And even if? So what? Remember that - even after investigations - nobody at Enron, MCI/Worldcom, Arthur Andersen went to jail for any of their actions, and neither did they return the money they took.
The worst that will happen is that they retire with the money they stole from us all, enjoying the sunset on their sprawling estates, patting themselves on the back that they pulled it off unscathed.
Remember "Rethink Possible"? They proved that it truly is possible to bring down an strong economic leader and 'most admired' American company in a few years without personal consequences.
Welcome to Corporate America, where crime and incompetence really pays.
