Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

CEO is overpaid and Organization is so Top Heavy!

This interesting article is about Jeff but if you review Frank's compensation history he is actually worse! He has no problem robbing employees of their benefits while adding more executives who are paid disgusting amounts. If you are laying off staff, closing offices, postponing merit increases (which are mediocre anyway and not reflective of performance), suspending the 401K match, etc perhaps you shouldn't be adding more executives. FB and the executive staff are the perfect poster children for corporate greed.
I guess at Fiserv the non-executive employee no longer makes a difference, at least not to the fat cats making decisions in their ivory Manhattan towers.

"Fiserv problem like most large companies and yes a $15B is very large, is not top management it is the layers of middle management."

That might be one of the d-mbest statements I have ever seen on here and there have been quite a few d-mb ones. It starts at the top. How about approvals these days to spend $$. Frank and Guy review everything. It takes a C-level approval to buy flowers for an employee that had a child pass away. Middle management can't do anything because these 21 people are the only ones allowed to make a decision in a 44,000 employee organization.

"Very large company with many businesses and regions…".... Very subjective comment and not exactly true. 44K may seem like a large number of employees but compared to other global companies it is not. Companies with over 100K employees do not have as many executives as Fiserv does.

It's a hard pill to swallow knowing the compensation these executives are getting when the rest of the organization is suffering.

Very true! 21 executives overseeing daily operations listed on the Fiserv website. Ridiculous!

You can't compare West and Guy, they were not even in the same role. It would be West/Manos or Guy/Ernst. As someone else pointed out Guy shouldn't be the tech guy he should be the COO and let the CTO do their job. Until he gives that up the CTO will never be successful.

@1cuc+1bR9TIIs Not exactly sure what you are saying but if you’re disagreeing with Frank’s corporate greed and taking advantage of employees to build his executive kingdom being worse than Jeff. then you are clueless and need to do your homework. A few years ago while Frank was running FD - laying off employees and closing offices, his compensation was $102M. If you can’t see how insulting that is then you’re blind or you’re in denial. Take your lips off Frank’s bu-t and do your research.

That is a great idea. HR is only needed to protect the C-Level from employee's, and if we only have one that would make total sense. Down sizing at it's finest.

We just need thousands of C-level executives to manage one employee. This employee will be so efficient from all the high level management that they will be able to do the work of 44,444 others. We could also get rid of HR. We won't need them when we only have one employee.

Oh, great - now Frank will use this as an excuse to commence the purges.
