Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Thank You Cisco

Thank you Cisco. I am an AM and now at the competition and have a better life. I make more money. I am using your process against you and kicking your teeth in. I am meeting with customers at their places, lunches, and dinners.

Cisco has no budget for operational expenses. The Cisco AMs can’t get their architecture teams to join cause they are being told by their leadership to use technology over travel. Guess what. I am doing more lunches, dinners, and events at restaurants with private rooms with whiteboards to do meetings in person.

Also, that stupid thing called Agile TSA and Click to Expert. That is a gift to us. Personally I think Eric Knipp should be nominated to my company’s Chairman Club. Agile TSA / Click to Expert is driving more pipeline for our company than probably at Cisco. Customers are unhappy with the random person that they are going to get. Agile TSA / Click to Expert has made it so easy to beat you.

Thank you Cisco for your travel restrictions and for Agile TSA / Click to Expert. It is driving our pipeline.

There are no important customers in central/flyover country.

Hahahah. The central AVP is a joke. It used to work in NYC and had the worst reputation. Scary, those are the people Chuck wants running Cisco. Look around, most of the good talent is gone. Central was on top back when BM and SH were running Enterprise. Also MD messed Enterprise up when he was running it.

I'm betting you were let go for not selling squat for many quarters. Most everyone in the sales cycle are not great and the numbers prove this.

This is nonsense. Travel is restricted for everyone not just TSAs.

Webex works fine for TSAs. Who are these customers that need them in person to go through the deck?

Just ask AMs and SAs regardless of segment. They will verify that the travel restrictions and Agile TSA / C2E are costing us opportunities. The competitors are using our processes against us. The AVPs and SEDs are unwilling to actually stand up for their people that they are supposed to be leading. Instead they say suck it up and deal with it. Our AVP and SED in Central are useless. They are so out of touch with the field. Some of the most arrogant “leaders” I have seen in my career.

I'd like to thank Cisco too. When I realized the hypocrisy in this company, I knew I had to get out. I accelerated my debt pay off plan and then saved as much as I could. With my loans paid off, I felt more confident to break away. My new job pays about the same, but I don't even care. These people are more interested in manipulating minds than providing quality services to their customers. So thank you Cisco, for helping me to break away from the clutches of serfdom.

I am an SA. The part about our architecture teams not allowed to travel is true. I was forwarded an email that stated they must use technology over travel. Certain types of meetings don’t resonate as much from a technical perspective over webex. That is the reality. We are seeing losses that typically are very reliable customers to competitors.

As for the Agile TSA and Click to Expert, it is completely awful and embarrassing in front of customers. If you don’t believe it, then go ask a bunch of AMs and SAs on how it is working for Data Center and EN. I guarantee you that the vast majority will tell you it is awful and it is costing us deals.

They need to track losses due to architecture teams not traveling and trying to use Agile TSA and Click to Expert.
