Are SEs really laid this low?!
9 Years; Grade 10 (started at $135K)
Miami SA - how many years at Cisco and what grade?
in Miami, as SA, $148K Base + $50K Commissions.
What does a grade 9 AM make?
200k base or TTC at comp?
Agree with poster response on pay. SAs are under paid. The SAs are part of the socialist plan where there at-risk comp is tied to the region. SAs can never blow their number out and make a lot of money due to being tied to the region number. SEDs do a disservice to SAs that way. There is no reason the SAs can’t be tied to the accounts they support. SEDs want to keep them tied to the region for control of them vs empowering them. SAs are going to the competition and starting at 200K per year along with RSUs.
That pay seems low for SAs but maybe it’s because you’re in central/very low cost of living area?
How much do competitors pay these SAs?
AMs make much more. Most AMs make over $300K. Most Cisco SAs make half that. The good ones make closer to $175K with a few getting closer to $200K. Unfortunately, while the SAs do most of the work, our SEDs do not take care of us. Our Central SED is downright awful and does not believe in taking care of the SAs. That is why you see so much turnover on the SA front in Central. SAs are starting to figure out they have been fooled long enough by their SEMs, SSEMs, and SEDs. SAs are leaving for the competition. Competitors are growing and hiring. Cisco is contracting. Too much management on the SA side. All SA reqs will NOT get backfilled.
