No judgment folks. I ve had covid and it is miserable even with the vaccine. I am a father of 5 kids too young to get vaccinated. I write reports and update spreadsheets for my job and have had no personal interaction for close to 20 years in the office.
I am honestly having a lot of anxiety and other mental health issues with this pandemic. I will be going to my doctor to request assistance in filing for short term disability rather than going into the office and catching covid again and infecting my kids (1st time I felt weird and left and stayed with family who had spare room).
Has anyone gone the short term disability route instead of forced RTO? Per reading up on it and speaking with others it would appear I would be eligible.
I have managed my role well here since the pandemic and am an overachiever at work via promotions and year-end reviews. I could continue doing my job from home, but I feel my mental health is getting worse by the day with BM forcing us back in during height of pandemic..
