When the time comes for you to walk away there is stigma in the world to WF employees.

No, they cannot.

When somebody asks what I do, I say "I work for one of the banks".

I don't admit to working for WF unless pressed on that, and often the conversation turns to something like "WF has had some problems".

I just don't like being put in the postion of having to defend WF all the time. I didn't do anything wrong.

If someone asks you about it, tell them, yeah we did that, what difference, at this point, does it make?

I'm trying to think of something I care less about than other people thinking I had a "respectable career", but can't come up with anything. I do my job well, and the right/moral/legal way. I know what I've done and how I've done it. If someone else wants to think less of my career because some other people at the same company did the wrong thing, "ok", good for them. Who cares?

A respectable person working for Wells, as a questionable company in the eyes of many in the business world, can have a respectable career. I hate to be analogous, but try this. There have been a good number of athletes who have played for weak ( not-respectable) teams. They show up each game and do their thing. They hold their heads high knowing that they gave it their all.

No. I left in May and couldn't be happier about my decision. I work for a respectable company now.

At one time - the 1970's - the only thing left of the 'Wells Fargo' brand was a Security Guard operation. Uniform and 32 Special outside of any Mall USA.

Yes. People outside of WF don't give a flying fig about WF. All the scandals seem enormous to us because we live it. But in the big scheme of things, nobody else cares.

Yes. Wells Fargo is not the Trump White House. Most people here did not accept their positions knowing that dishonesty was expected and valued as a demonstration of fealty to a crooked leader.

They came here expecting to make an honest living at a respectable company. Most did, and do.

Yes. The bank wont become respectable again unless this is what everyone who works here does.
