Saw two exemption requests, one approved, the other denied.
The approved one included this text:
This responds to your request for a medical accommodation related to Verizon’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement. Your request remains under review. Accordingly, beginning on January 4, 2022, you should adhere to the following instructions regarding access to Verizon worksite/office: Pending a determination, for up to 45 days from January 4, 2022 continue to work remotely. During this period, you will not have access to Verizon worksites/offices, customer or other third-party locations to conduct in person Verizon business. We will inform you if at any point you are required to adhere to additional safety protocols (e.g., COVID-19 testing).
The one that was denied mentioned he is on unpaid leave till he gets the second shot:
Based on your submission, you will be placed on unpaid leave. You can avoid being placed on unpaid leave by submitting the updated Vaccine Verification form by December 8th, 2021. You have till Jan 4th 2022 to receive your second vaccination shot to be fully vaccinated and update your prior submission.
It sounds like that guy got the first shot then applied for religious exemption and they denied it because he already got one, so they want him to get both. Which doesn't bode well for anyone who got any vaccine later trying to get an exemption.
