It depends on your vesting, not why you leave the company. If you are vested, you keep your pension. That is the law.

I have been asking this question for years. The answered should be pretty simple

If fired for cause THEFT - then NO. You lose everything except your vested 401 match.

Yes. No matter the reason if you’re vested.

For cause (theft) NO.
Can't do the job YES if vested.
