CVX is all smoke and mirrors. RDS is like a parody of a modern company, like a year of Dilbert cartoons. BP, same. COP has this weird atmosphere like mom and dad have decided to get a divorce but haven't told you. Repsol, same.
Marathon is supposed to be good. Aramco, very good. Equinor, good. Citgo, don't know anymore. Total, same. BR is a disaster. Pemex, same. Oxy, same.. Ecopetrol used to be sound at business but too much driven by politics at home.

Wrong. QP has a back stabbing culture lead by citizens with zero knowledge of their job positions.
Citizenship is far more important than expertise.
QP only succeeds because it has such good assets and T’s and C’s that id--ts could be profitable.
QP (now QE)
“Which oil company is the best managed as of today?”
Trick question; they’re all managed terribly.
Left Shell for ExxonMobil because pay is much better here, maybe the difference is narrowing now. Still think ExxonMobil is better.
EOG without a doubt.
Gots to agree with your first respondent - Aramco, SinoPet, Rosneft.
The trains run on time.
Just get out of the way.
Right now I think the clear answer would be a mid sized operator. Probably a Devon or Diamondback. Diamondback as an example acquired assets when prices were low. They also are very focused on where they have expertise, so divested assets that were non-core to them. Also employ creative strategies to access capital markets and maximize the value of mineral rights.
Longer term is tough. Itll be very interesting to see how Total and BPs strategies play out. Both have clear theses and frameworks to execute. Time will tell if it goes according to plan, but I think there is a fair chance of success
Chevron is probably up there, no way Shell or ExxonMobil are in it. If we are talking the oil and gas giants that everyone knows about. Don't even ask about BP, they are dog water.
Are we winning this football game? Because this practice sure does suck
I checked Shell boards and their boards seem quiet compared to Exxon
All of the US majors are pretty similar to us - if you really want to see a shizzshow check out the midsize operators
Not Shell. Head over to their message board if you think we have problems.
Oh it’s gotta be Exxon with all the winning that we’re doing. Have you seen how many times our energy cube has been featured on LinkedIn? Bunch of proud employees happy to work for Exxon. Speaking of which, it’s about time we got their CEO caught up to his peers’ compensation figures.
Shell
If you are talking with a great amount of U.S presence. I would have to go with Chevron
Bp
Saudi Aramco, Petrochina or Rosneft
