Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Question for unvaccinated.

Please no discrimination from Vax na-is about getting vaccinated.

With the deadline to record Vax status by Dec 4th in the new HR tool - for those that are unvaccinated - is it better to fill in the form and acknowledge the testing requirements OR not submit anything and be counted as unvaxed anyhow. I read the FAQs and reads that if you don’t respond you get treated as unvaxed and subject to testing but wondering if there is punishment not to record a response.

What is the best option in this impossible situation while WF and companies are proceeding with this even though courts keep coming back saying this is not constitutional.

Thanks.

@4zkh+1e69MyOM Very apropos, thank your for sharing that Sartre quote. It’s more than clear by now that these guys are not arguing in good faith, that example below could not have been more clear in showing how they try to weasel out from the truth.

Also very odd how many of these antivax posts with stilted english appear in the middle of the night.

I would call it “politically dishonest” but that should surprise no one with this bunch, who have strayed so far from the “party of Lincoln”, it’s ridiculous.

We're not talking about COVID deaths in the UK, we're talking about all-cause death rates. Also, I've never been to Parler, but keep flailing away, it's entertaining to watch.

Fact-check: Are vaccinated people dying at a faster rate than unvaccinated people?
Monique Curet, PolitiFact.com

**Viral Facebook post: COVID-19 death rates in England are higher among vaccinated people than unvaccinated.

PolitiFact's ruling: False**

Here's why: Referencing one chart in a 30-page report while omitting important context, bloggers falsely claimed in an article that COVID-19 death rates in England are much higher among vaccinated people than unvaccinated.

The article included the headline, "COVID death rates 4 to 1, vaccinated to unvaxxed." It was shared on Facebook in a post that was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed.

The claim makes a statistical error. The ratio it cites is based on raw numbers of deaths among vaccinated and unvaccinated people. It does not compare death rates, which would take into account the size of each group.

The claim references a chart in a UK Health Security Agency report that indicates during a three-week period in October and November, England had 3,430 deaths from COVID-19. Of those deaths, 2,822 were people who had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 587 were unvaccinated people. The rest were people whose vaccination status was not known.

The article linked in the claim doesn’t include those specific data points, but cites the ratio between them — 4.8 to 1 — as evidence that "The vaccine is deadlier than the virus."

However, "it’s not a valid comparison," said Luke Weeks, senior communications officer for the UK Health Security Agency, which recently replaced the agency known as Public Health England.

"Well over 90% of the adult population is double vaccinated, so the vaccinated cohort is over nine times the size of the unvaccinated cohort," Weeks said, "A very small percentage of a large population is still more people than a higher percentage of a very small one."

The same vaccine surveillance report the blog post cites provides the statistics in this context. During the three-week period, it says, England had 54.9 COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people among those who were vaccinated and 125.4 deaths per 100,000 among those who were unvaccinated.

The vaccines offer more than 90% protection against mortality, the health agency’s report says.

Though the vaccine surveillance report was issued by the UK Health Security Agency, which encompasses all countries in the United Kingdom, the data in the report is only from England, Weeks said.

The claim was published by Mic Drop Politics, which copied the text of its post from another blog called The Expose.

The data about the numbers of deaths among the vaccinated and unvaccinated from the UK Health Security Agency is included in the Expose version, but not in the Mic Drop Politics article, which mentions only the ratio.

We rate the claim, "COVID death rates 4 to 1, vaccinated to unvaxxed," False.

Yes, vaccinated people can still spread it. But at a much lower rate because...that is how the vaccines work. There is simply less viral load to spread, and less symptoms to facilitate the spread. This has been proven and is well established, despite whatever pseudoscience that confounds variables you get from Facebook. Vaxxed people aren't completely disconnected from reality and are aware of this, but that does not make them ineffective. In addition to the much lower risk of death, which somehow penetrated your paranoid schizophrenia...but why you would want to dismiss that effect is beyond anyone.

"All cause death rate for the vaccinated in the UK of people 10-59 years old is significantly higher for the vaccinated." Lol that is not true at all, cite your sources you liar.

"common good" huh? You saying we should do what will result in the best results for the most people? In that case, we should stop vaccinating everyone under 60. All cause death rate for the vaccinated in the UK of people 10-59 years old is significantly higher for the vaccinated. Thanks go their government healthcare, we have good data for the entire country, and the results may be counterintuitive, but they are what they are. So when do we kick off that greater good thing?

Breaking news, you can spread COVID also. Influenza, and other potentially lethal diseases as well, and you've been doing it your whole life.

Any time someone shows examples where very highly vaccinated populations have an outbreak (UK navy ships, Gibraltar, Ireland, Israel etc.), the knee jerk response is "yeah, but it's less fatal because of vaccination!"...skipping completely over the fact that the disease is clearly spreading very rapidly through a vaccinated population. I'm not sure how often this has to happen before people intuitively understand that it's possible, but it's been happening with regularity in a global scale. The only reason to deny it at this point is to prop up a narrative.

Yes, because following banking regulations and a person's own medical decisions are exactly the same thing. Good grief. It's amazing to watch people begging to hand over their health to incompetent/uncaring corporate masters and corrupt politicians. I know this is difficult for some to grasp, but these potential masters do not care about you, AT ALL. If the CEOs can get an extra penny EPS, they'd throw your life away in a heartbeat. If the pol could get 1% more votes out of the deal, they'd liquidate you without a second thought. They do not care, at all. Now, is that REALLY the people you want controlling every aspect of your healthcare? Do you want corrupt pol or evil CEO sitting there between you and your doctor making all the decisions? Really? If so, 'ok', good luck with that. Sane people however, oppose that brand of slavery.

The best option is always to determine your feelings on the vaccine, your health situation and your personal ethics.

Then make whatever decision you know to be true for you in your heart. Follow through ethically with honesty, open and true communications to management, your coworkers and medical personnel.

However, from your post it reads that you are trying to get over by still working here without honestly and ethically disclosing your status and your thinking.

So you will do what you will do with zero self reflection.

I think you should get a lobotomy. You going to get one? No, because other people shouldn't come between you and your doctor. You really need to grow up and learn to respect other people. I know in your mind respecting others means "I respect them if they do exactly what I say", but that's 1st grade nonsense. It's honestly embarrassing watching you carry on like you're everyone's doctor. You're not. Get over it.

If you like your dr-gs, GREAT, more power to you. Now show others the same courtesy. Or not, no one cares either way.

You're not even responding to the person you think you are. I made one of the posts referenced, but not the other. In any event, there is no "gotcha". You made a ridiculous stereotype of people that have elected not to take certain dr-gs. Like most stereotypes it may actually be true for a few people, but the purpose of it is to slight the majority that it clearly isn't applicable to.

In any event, the dr-gs are both safe and effective. You should get boosted, daily.

What bothers me is that there are several people in my group who are non-responsive at the moment. We NEED ALL of our people as we are already lean. I am growing tired of this covid cr*p. I am not the only one in the group who feels that way. My next concern is if people will head for the exit doors and put our group in a more stressful and possible dire situation.

…Do you think “pronounce” is a contraction of “proudly” and “announce”?

“Early research suggests that SARS-CoV-2 can enter the brain easily through a person's nose, infiltrating brain cells where it lurks unchecked, possibly leading to lasting neurological symptoms, such as trouble with thinking and memory.”

I think in general antivaxxers are just inherently paranoid conspiracy theorists, and see nefarious plots behind any sort of record keeping, especially if the government is involved in any way. These are the same people who attack census workers and mailmen: they really have no place in such a regulated industry.

Anti-vaxxers are afraid to admit that they are afraid of the vaccine because they're unsure that they're right.

If they were certain that the vaccine is not safe they'd proudly announce they are not jabbed.

Instead, they buy fake vax cards and ask what happens if they lie.

If you are sure of your anti-vax stand, just say it.

Helps the rest of us know who not to hang out, so don't be selfish.

To answer your question, if you do not complete the form or survey, they will not just record you as unvaccinated.

This is what the email said, but Wells Fargo does not even follow its own procedures.

They said something similar the last time for the COVID surveys. They did not just record the non-responders as unvaccinated as the email said.

Instead, they sent the survey 3 or 4 additional times to non-responders then sent their managers notices until they finally responded.

For some, the two-up manager had to email the non-responders and tell them to respond.

This will likely be the case this time as well.

They will just continue contacting you and your leadership until you respond. They will not just record you as unvaccinated.

I didn't realize so many children worked at Wells. Part of being an adult is taking ownership of your choices. Don't want the vaccine? Fine. Just tell Wells you are not vaccinated. What's the big deal? Why are so many people saying they aren't going to respond? What is there to gain from that? Own it if it is such an important badge of honor to not be vaccinated.

So all the people who say they won’t comply with the form, or won’t go into the office, or won’t get tested: you realize you won’t get severance, right? You’ll be fired for cause if it comes to that and will be marched out without a dime. Seems self-defeating to me, especially when you have to explain that to the next company you interview at.

Whether or not the government can mandate a vaccine [being challenged but many of those challenges have failed] vs whether a private business can require it for condition of employment [they can] is one matter.

This is a whole separate issue you can find yourself punished or reprimanded for - this is the requirement to report your status. If you do not follow the roles for that process, you can face consequences, and that is nothing courts 'are against'.

You are conflating two issues into one, and it doesn't work like that.

Post ID: @1lsz+1e69MyOM

I will be late reporting my status. I will not comply.
I will test as long as they pay for it. I will not go into the office three days. If I do it will be for just a few hours then go home.
With WF moving forward with this despite three courts being against it, I am going to slow down my work tremendously and wait it out. Bye bye productivity.
