Full-time and long-time telecommuter here. I'm about 75 miles away from my newly assigned location. No closer locations exist.
Still working remote "for now", but from the tone of my manager it's clear that he's under a lot of pressure to not have anyone as "remote".
So how exactly do I get the ball rolling for a Severance Package? I'd like to persue that after bonuses come out.
I want to avoid any situation with my manager where he's able to say something like "You don't want to work here anymore? Fine, you're fired." I think it would be better if he didn't even find out until after the wheels are already in motion.
