They need to outsource the HVD team. All of them are totally helpless, aside from a couple actually know what they are doing.

T is so bloated.

Easy solution is to outsource IT- Legg will be forced to do it.

T currently has 172k employees, post WB separation. Nonetheless. We still have a lot more employees than VZ.

Verizon revenue per employee is about $1M. AT&T revenue per employee is about $0.77M.

if the goal is to get productivity parity with Vz (as articulated by Bill Morrow) T may have to reduce by 47K over some duration.

AT&T would like to get close to the same number of employees as Verizon has, which is currently a little under 120,000. AT&T will probably never get that low, but that's what they would like since the company we are most comparable with is Verizon.

Oh there will be loopholes in the law big enough to drive a truck through. tax impact on places like T will be minimal. Corporate American owns the political process and everyone in it. Nobody gets near higher office anymore unless they do their bidding. They might pass a law, but they won't collect much (if anything). That's not to say T won't use it as an excuse for a big layoff, thgouh. Then they can blame it on the government instead of their own greed and incompetence.

Um, actually they do exist. They're not counting paperclips, they're playing with PPT and Excel. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know much about what goes on in the great bu-----t factories of ATT like strategic planning, consumer marketing, customer experience and places of that ilk. Take a look at these orgs in the directory and you'll see thousands of people who are getting paid to look busy but do nothing especially useful.
