Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Totally messed up reputation

My subjective impression is that IBM can hardly have a worse reputation than it already has. I know people who have lost their jobs, but they don't think of IBM as an option at all, because they think that this company tends to obfuscate and manipulate everything. It's sad to hear that from other people.

Is our leadership aware of how tarnished the company's reputation is and how big the consequences are? It is very easy to destroy, but very difficult to build something.

Forbes is being paid by IBM for every single positive article they write on IBM.
May be IBM should instead spend that money in investing in products and people!

IBM’s painted picture on LinkedIn is very different. People commenting are positive comments. I also see still see ibm rated high in surveys such as Forbes.

OP ask this question on ama-ibm slack channel... Instead of asking it here, you may want to bring it to the leadership's notice.

Manipulation is the perfect word to describe IBM. Be it sales numbers or it’s employees, manipulation is the grease that keeps IBM gears spinning.
