Farley 4th quarter comments didn't happen. Either a misunderstanding by the poster or he lives under a bridge.

What happened to June 16th? Or July 25th? What’s the date going to be in September?

GM did their layoffs early February 2019. But each laid off employee was considered "on the payroll" until March 1, 2019 [it was friday] for admin purposes.
So for any job background check, by paper, you can write March 2019 as final day.

When they walked you out, that was it. Why TF would anyone want to return their job next day knowing they were cut.

In 2019 Professor Moonbeam brought this up as an option for some groups so those who were let go could say their goodbyes and everyone would have better closure. This was to keep the event more respectful of the careers of those being let go.

My group (Quality) chose not to do this, folks were immediately walked out under the supervision of a fat security lady who was smiling like she knew there might be surprise baked goods to be had.

why would they give you 2 weeks? I was let go on April 27 paid till the end of the month. Had to sign the deal before the 30th. Ford will never give you that much time to think. if anything it will be the 29th.

@hgs+1i2977PG - They do at Ford sometimes. In the 2019 SRD, they gave people the news on either the 20th or 21st of May and you could stay until the 31st. Some people actually chose to stay and others walked out as soon as they got the news. They paid you either way.

Highly doubt this is true. Do mass layoffs ever give 2 weeks? Seems this would be a bad way to get retaliated upon by workers
