Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Return to Office, or Return to Ego?

Funny how leadership that couldn’t innovate their way out of a paper bag during a pandemic is now obsessed with “butts in seats” — as if physical presence ever made up for weak direction, poor morale, and zero trust in their employees.

You let remote work carry your company through crisis.
Now you’re pretending productivity only happens under fluorescent lights?

You demand five days in the office —
❌ No assigned desks
❌ No engagement strategy
❌ No real reason — just vibes, fear, and a total disconnect from reality

If you're leading a company in 2025 and still equating physical presence with performance, congratulations: you're not leading. You're babysitting.

The future of work was here. You just chose to ignore it.

HR was working on gathering all employees video activities of when they in or out to just prove what they where doing is right. Because there intention was to favor some one who have more than 3 hours of work but still not 8 hours.
Doing favor to some group of employees is partiality.
Instead of collecting videos and preparing evidences if they would have send a warning to employees that their hours or activities are sort of compliance would have helped to build good culture inside company.
But it seems even top management also didn’t focus on informing and warning employees and then taking action. They didn’t believe in clear and good communication and terminated their good employees.
Poor company poor people who thought work is important.
Such companies should be exposed of their wrong attitude towards their employees.

Lol. That's funny. Look. You wanna be successful here? It isn't about how hard you work, it's about how you follow the rules. Plenty of uneducated lunks have job security because they just keep their heads down and pretend to be working. That's the secret.

Just so the rest of you know... T is the third on everything. 3rd for most subscribers Q2024, Verizon and Tmobile had us beat. 3rd on innovation, got beat by tmobile, while t is still catching up on 5G. Failed directv and time warner, and bailed. Tmobile beat us to number 2 spot on subscribers. We have 130+ billion in debt!!!

Verizon and Tmobiles website is more interactive offering discounts for Netflix, Hulu, Appletv+. T NOTHING. BORING WEBSITE. GO TAKE A LOOK.

AT&T = flopped on innovation, drowning in debt, and still clinging to legacy models

This is where we are. And the mere employees who probably still have T services, you are pi----g away to RETURN TO OBSESSION.

Entitlement is not replacing basic decency. If you are so used to be treated like a 2nd class citizen or third then thats what you are. You deserve better. So choosing better and advocating for the bare minimum is NOT ENTITLEMENT. You want us here 5x a week, GIVE US A SEAT, LIKE WHAT STANKEY AND THE REST OF THE C SUITE HAVE.

IS IT ENTITLEMENT TO ASK FOR A FCKING SEAT???

Give it up already! My God, you whiners who constantly challenge the system that's been in place for decades and has made this company successful all think you know better! You've been out of school for 7-10 years and you already think you know how to manage one of the world's most successful communications company! Stop your whining, it's back to the office, it will not change, period!

Yep, it's the entitlement generation on here crying. They live in mamas basement and don't want to go to the office.
