Jeff McSelfish - Ungrateful RTO Manager here

McSelfish,
I admit I am ungrateful. I want a desk with a chair that I can adjust to my individual height and lower back anatomical requirements, just like you have. I don’t mind sitting on a Starbucks-like marshmallow couch for 1 hour, but it’s not good to sit there for longer periods of time for physically fit people, fat people, or people that have minor or major back issues.

Making it very simple for you. You don’t know who I am but I am very happy to shake your hand in court when a Judge awards me a million dollars for your eloquent testimony. You and your attorney’s are a new kind of stupid and it shows. You and your flunky minions have a stack of town hall questions in your possession, proving first hand knowledge of working conditions and employee concerns. Then you go on record stating you’re aware of conditions and dismiss them while berating your employees in a childish, irresponsible rant.

Thank you for giving me the means to payoff my new weekend cabin on the lake, in one lump sum. Care to go on record with anything else fishy? To HR: Don’t play stupid. You are aware of my back problem. You are aware of my building assignment, You are aware of the working conditions. You are aware of McSelfish’s statements. I have all the communications, emails, notes, etc. This is how you win court cases.

Call Your Local OSHA Office or 800-321-6742 (OSHA). Or are you scared and all talk?

You need to come up with solutions and not just identify problems. Step up and be a manager.

“If you truly had an issue you wouldn’t hesitate to send this in a company email and file a complaint about accommodations.”

Who said they didn’t? You won’t necessarily be aware of a quiet settlement that doesn’t even reach public filing status. The number one rule of attorney’s is to settle when there is half a case. This is not TV. AT&T doesn’t have a team of TV polished, refined, public speaking Attorney’s with shiny black shoes. They’re all half bald and huddle in an office and “vote” on individual cases in which HR and employees are at odds, or there is notice that the employee has retained an attorney,

My takeaway, OP believes they are the smartest person in the room. A co---m would have prevented that.

It appears that Jeffie has fallen out of favor with 99% of Temployees! Does this fully redeem Jeffie from Stankey's doghouse?

Yeah, but they CAN afford a parking garage just for Execs, suites at every sporting venue in the Dallas metro area, memberships to country clubs, 24/7 support for the Execs in their 2nd and 3rd homes, and support for their spouses and children. Yeah - don't think a few ergonomic chairs will break the Company.

Workman's Comp is your friend. No need to keep coming into this cesspool workspace if you have already been injured by the terrible conditions. Jeffy will have to pay you to stay home and heal for a few months.
