Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

DSM unemployment

Can anyone confirm if you can collect unemployment while on severance in Iowa? I messaged the IwD office but they won’t answer my question.

IWD will not allow you to collect if you make more than $600 a week from WF

Agree. I was eligible to collect unemployment from my last job due to a layoff. I didn’t collect because I wasn’t going to seek employment again.

@bg clearly you haven’t been displaced because the FAQ says it’s up to the state. Troll somewhere else.

Nope, No double dipping. Unemployment is offset by your severance; e.g., if you get 8 weeks severance, then unemployment benefits will not be paid until after the 8 weeks of severance.

There are very few states that allow you to take both simultaneously.

Try to relocate to Charlotte if you can. We are chipping away at Des Moines.
