Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Sunday night thoughts: It is time to cut your losses

The corporate culture here is tone deaf and ruthless. It is time to accept the reality that the situation at Wells Fargo is beyond repair. It is never going to get better for employees. Charlie is never going to stop cutting costs, cutting employees, short staffing departments and outsourcing/offshoring jobs. You are either:

  1. going to get laid off, or
  2. have the great privilege to keep your job and do the work of 5 people for zero recognition

One of the biggest success factors for people is knowing when enough is enough and when to walk away. Staying too long at a company you do not respect, and a company who does not respect its employees, will have a negative impact on your reputation and personal development. Don’t work every day for a toxic leadership team whose morals and longterm goals do not align with yours.

@cv+1jwq9008y I agree...recently heard the phrase, "The juice isn't worth the squeeze." The toxic corporate atmosphere that has rotted WF from the inside since Scharf slithered aboard has infiltrated everywhere. Worked on my resume and I am actively looking.

Tell me you don't want to have to pay out severance costs without telling me you don't want to pay out severance costs. I think maybe you should do a TikTok on that as well.

Feel you, @bs+1jwq9008y. Offshore has issues synthesizing data or anything outside of the box. It’s all a 1 to 1 thing it seems, anything beyond that becomes a problem. (Everyone else’s problem)

I left recently, so much happier now and making more money for less work. I thought about holding out for severance, but felt like I wasn’t going to be on the hit list as I carried a heavy load for my team, so would probably been one of the last people standing. It just wasn’t worth it to be miserable for another year or more.

Quiet quit. Build your boundaries. Don't be a slave and do the work of 5. Weigh your options. Picture your career outside the bank. Upskill yourself. Learn stuff. Prepare for your next position.

Quiet quit. Do all you can to illuminate how id--tic things are, especially the work of offshore ignoramuses. Have fun with it.

My job used to be tolerable. Now I spend my days arguing with Indians because they don’t know how to do their jobs. I’m so tired of fixing their sht. They take zero accountability for their fu-k ups.

P5/P6: We are expected to operate a director level without the staff or authority. Hold the line and stand up for yourself. Don’t let anyone bully you into thinking your work is mediocre.

But quiet quitting is so much easier here
