When you have too many layers of management you are not only inefficient but also ineffective.

boohoo. if your managers knows nothing of what you do then perhaps do a better job of showcasing your accomplishments.
My manager literally knows nothing about all that I do (outstanding work) but ACTS like she does and is just a messenger from the top (do your self eval, complete compliance training, etc.) but doesn't actually DO anything and she's not in a Hub while the rest of face displacement.
