Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

My wife and I are both facing layoffs this week

Her company’s in worse shape, and the chances of her getting let go are even higher. The odds aren’t looking good for us. If we both lose our jobs, we’re honestly sc--wed. I don’t know what we’ll do if at least one of us doesn’t find something new fast. We’ve both worked hard and done everything right. This just shouldn’t be happening. Ever.

Layoffs su-k but if you work for a company like Target or equivalent you should be able to be ok if you’re not living outside of your means… imagine the single worker, working paycheck to paycheck… imo.. a two Income household has it better than most

I’m so sorry. Where does she work? Apparently Cargill had layoffs today and UHC has layoffs sometime soon. Amazon looks to be a blood bath too. The economy absolutely su-ks.

I was stressed. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling. I’m sorry. Buddy hug. I think you’ll be okay man, I don’t think you’ll be let go. 1,000 jobs between India and USA should be okay. At least you’re not at Amazon, I wouldn’t be giving you high hopes honestly.

Both getting hit, in two different companies is less likely. Hope for the best prepare for the worst I guess. Unemployment differs by state, and it's never enough even if a family lives below their means. OP you will be all right.
