Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Supply chain

What has anyone heard about supply chain field for layoffs? My site director said they are looking at getting rid of operations directors positions. There also seems to be too many operations managers positions.

Bookmark this post, come back to it in a year, and then tell me I’m wrong. The writing is already on the wall in some buildings, peak has never been so slow in supply chain fulfillment. Our building has had VLE opportunities all through the season, when past years it was constant OT.

@ce That is not true. Certain FCs might close but there are no plans to get out of all FCs

Are you saying they will close all FCs and do all fulfillment from stores ?

They are planning to streamline fulfillment, moving exclusively to in store. That is a big part of the store investment/expansion. All FC operations will cease to exist by early 2027 at the latest.
