@OP. You are right. Get out while you can. Belk is grasping at straws. They have lost even more touch with reality. The whole holiday week we had only one person scheduled in the cosmetics dept. while customers walked off because of the long waits. And on top of everything a Clinique pretell starting on 12/20 with big goals everyday.
@qw generally speaking when the CFO leaves the company is going under. CFOs do not leave thriving companies.

@MC it sounds like you want to find out who the mole is in the company. you keep saying name the source, which of course, you know is not going to happen. someone is leaking top secret info out.
@mc- so many executives and members of upper management have left belk or been fired over the last 3 yrs you couldnt even keep count. give me a break.
@en I looked back through posts. In August there was a post about 75 store managers being let go (didnt happen). I recall seeing a post about the cmo leaving, didn’t happen. I’m not saying turnover at the exec level won’t happen but for anyone to say with certainty that it will is wrong. They are just guessing. Unless you name your source.

Nobody in corporate would know these things unless they are on the board or the literal CEO. Everyone talking about store closures just because a few outlets are closing when those stores were basically destined to close when they converted. Most of the outlets are stores that were not performing well at all. As for layoffs that gets posted in here every year, and I’m sure there will be some next year but no one knows that for certain

I never worked there and haven't set foot in one location in over a year. I figured that out after driving by and seeing an empty parking lots time after time
