Will cuts begin before or after the merger is finalized?

With the Paramount-Skydance merger, layoffs occurred both before the official merger date and again shortly afterward.

Already started with contractors last week :(

I’ve lived through a few m&a’s. They always begin before. Get rid of dead weight before the new bosses come in. That round is usually the obvious positions. Useless middle management. Those positions only exist to give people who have been here too long something else. After that the real jobs go
