Any ideas on where everyone went? What companies are you all at now and can you help any remaining Cengager's get out or catch the fall?

@zb it’s been BS for almost 2 decades. I cant believe I’m being forced back into this industry after getting out of it over a decade ago. Such a joke. Can’t wait to get out and join a respected industry and company.

The people sad about this company mismanagement annd subsequent layoffs and writing sappy tributes to Cengage need to grow up and get a life. You were used and sp-t out. Stop the sappy cr-p.
@xf yeah the roles have become bs now. People have been saying that here for months. I didn't wanna believe it. But after this round of layoff and restructuring, I see it.
Retired early.
After Cengage sent me over the horizon I got a job in a totally different industry. Having Cengage on my resume was a negative while I was looking for jobs. Interviewers either had no idea what Cengage was or if they did know, they hated Cengage from using the sh---y products at school.
@w3 exactly. Those of us that just got folded into Cengage are all leaving. No one takes Cengage sales seriously- it’s not real sales and certainly not Ed tech sales. It’s a joke.

It's not until you get out of publishing that you realize working at Cengage is like playing for the JV team.
Leaving Cengage (whether voluntarily or involuntarily) is like taking off a Band-Aid. The sooner the better!
@nb took me 8 months, but I was choosey and applied to jobs that wanted with the pay I deserve. One interviewer was not impressed with my success at Cengage, a company they did not take seriously.
Who cares. The sycophants hanging on to this dead, corrupt, and low-paying company deserve what they get.

WOW... i Keep hearing names of employees that were let go! It is much larger than any of your realize , well not anyone , because the ones that lost their jobs know all the others. Sorry for all of them, there are some very long tenured, highly qualified individuals on the list.
I was laid off a year ago and I'm still unemployed. I'm in touch with my coworkers who were laid off too and many are still looking.
Automotive. You have no idea how dysfunctional and abnormal Cengage is until you leave the company and industry. I spent the first 15 years of my career at Cengage and assumed things like bi-annual layoffs and reorgs were normal in Corporate America. I'm not saying its perfect but its so much better than Cengage. And it sounds like things have only deteriorated since I left a few years ago.
Everyone joined the Cengage Higher Ed also know as the MH - SS division. Yes, he renamed the Account Executives to the "SS". He must have been missing his homeland. Believe what you want , it is not a coincidence.
@aj what company and do you have any open roles you can share?
I left a while ago and now selling saas software …real software that is mission critical for business, not that mind tap or unlimited cr-p your reps are peddling.
