I know several employees that have been given date of June 30.
They are doing zero work.
In short FIS Management has given them paid vacation.
The intent was to save money, instead management is doling out free money

And if you were one of those people, what would you be doing? As for KT, how is that supposed to work? What K are we supposed to be passing on? When I joined I had minimal training. Everything else I learned on my own. We have been treated so badly this is the only way some of us get any form of severance.
this is SOP when outsourcing/offshoring entire departments. Companies want KT to the new contractors, and may threaten severance if not down, but there are ways to KT without actually doing KT, if you get y drift.
There is a whole group of employees who received notice in March with a layoff date of June 30, Recall that they were supposed to train their replacements. How exactly did management imagine that this would work? What is incentive is there to transfer knowledge? There are mixed feelings about this, if working in that group, experiencing the shift of work would be difficult. On the other hand, why do anything to assist when having been treated so very badly?
