I have a phone that I want to buy. If given a chance, I might also consider buying a MacBook. What is the policy here?

I had two laptops and sent one back. Kept the other and now use it at home
They asked for my laptop and ipad back, and followed up a few times about that. The phone I was told I could keep. I also had a monitor, chair, and rolling whiteboard at home that were never asked about and I never brought it up.
If part of a layoff they allow you to keep your phone. If terminated or leaving voluntarily you must return EVERYTHING. You will lose your severance if you don’t return them during a layoff. Otherwise, I heard they send to collections now to chase people down.
No option to buy anything. Even if a VP as I know one in the past who was denied their laptop.
@OP Umm, how about reading your severance paperwork? It’s all in there
I was asked to give back laptop and phone explicitly, as well as the monitors had at home. They only let me keep peripherals (mouse, keyboard, air pods). But yes I have heard of other people who were never asked to give their phone back and they kept it.
Just don’t give it back. They won’t do anything. I kept mine.
