A full year of continuous layoffs is something rarely seen at this scale. Many companies underestimated the value of experienced employees and overestimated AI’s ability to replace them. The biggest mistake is believing technology alone can replace knowledge, judgment, and human expertise.

@bn we’ve lost some of our best people to these layoffs while the fat continues to be fat. I agree they over hired but these senior directors don’t have a clue who’s actually contributing to getting the work done.
Mismanagement? Our leaders? Was it mismanagement when McAdumbs brought AOL and Yahoo? Or Hans buying Frontier?
AI is being used as a convenient excuse for these layoffs when in reality a lot of CEOs are trying to hide the fact they've spent years overhiring and mismanaging their companies. None of them are using AI that efficiently yet. They just need the money back from their own mistakes.
