I'm seriously asking. Is there even one? Layoffs have only managed to cut useful, productive people who were valuable to their teams and the company. I, for one, can't pick up the work left by people who were recently laid off, even if I wanted to. And I don't want to. AI isn't replacing anyone in any functional way. So the endgame is to squeeze the last drop until everything falls apart?

@pn Sadly, not surprising. VZ "leadership" is a spent force.
At the VP&up leadership gettogether two weeks ago both Dan and Eduardo essentially said "there is no strategy, there is no silver bullet, there is only retaining customers and trying to latch onto adjacent revenue to create a perception of growth".
All the talk about the "big change that the competition can't copy" that Dan has been spouting for the last six months is BS. So they do what the market likes. Cut cost plus accounting games to make things look better, while making short term decisions that hurt the business longer term.
Interestingly the market appears to be noticing that too. Stock is pretty much where it was before Dan joined (grown less than S&P for sure)
Starlink is the endgame
There is no endgame. There is no grand plan. There is no magic touch. This is about money—pure and simple. The more money THEY make, the better. The company? They don’t care as long as they pocket their stock.
We must unionize. A second union for white-collar workers is not only possible—it’s already happening at Boeing. We cannot stand by while they sacrifice this company. Something has to be done, and it has to be done now, to save this company before it’s too late.
@cw typical associate, didn't learn how to spell
@ap I don't know about that... The big man gives her creepy googly eyes when they're chatting on camera
@dx Sometimes you need to put on your captain obvious uniform to save people from overthinking and over analyzing! 😉
@dt that's a riveting discovery 😁
@OP There’s a line in the Peter Sellers biopic (a famous British comedian from before my time):
“People ask me why do I keep compromising my artistic integrity by walking in front of Blake's cameras. And you know what I tell them? Money!”
That’s it! That’s the endgame! Millions in Dan’s pockets and the rest of the higher ups that get RSUs and stock options.
Endgame for me: keep collecting that paycheck while I can from my living room sofa.
The endgame is to cut corts to below minimum. Dan shulman hits his stock price and gets his bonus and retires immediately….. board members unload all their shares granted at high price and the company is decimated…. It might push it into bankruptcy to clear debt . This CEO should catch charges for what he’s doing .
@bc thanks for the giggle!!!!!
Boy, this is great. Can’t wait for stock at 75.
Eliminate 50% of VCG employees. 90% of all functions and transactions to be handled by AI.
SO SAY OUR PAY PAL OVERLORDS.
jackasses.
Vague goals like setting the foundation, playing to win, and watch this space we’re just getting started! Are the goals of this clown show. Vague, generic, with no alignment or organizational clarity to achieve anything. But hey - at least there’s the red chair story time.
The end game is the bubble will burst..be patient, grab popcorn..it’s coming.
5K employees total, the rest is farmed out to India, AI and robots... that's the endgame.
She'll be gone by the end of the year. The air she is breathing is more valuable than anything she says
In her ask me anything, S.H. said there isn't a 5 year plan. They're only making a 3 year plan 🤷🏼♀️
Don’t do their work. Act d-mb and do what you can, act busy.
