Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Severance Package Question - HR are you here?

I don’t care if you downvote me.. but please can you confirm if another opportunity to AEOI with a package will become available again? It’s not bad enough to leave on my own, but I will gladly volunteer if the option becomes available again (to help others keep their job, of course)..

@ca This person is right. I know of two functions in the process now.

I want a golden parachute too.. no one told us it was going to be this bad. I would gladly take a package tomorrow to help me retire earlier.

@ca Correct. It's happening again. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the new annual norm in the US with more work going offshore and more AI requirements.

In the ABU some of the lazy and greedy managers made sure they got a big bib but many others didn't get a go. Time to pay these people off.

There are, and will be, additional reductions through the end of 2026 by BU as AI and BA, and other non-US offices are being leveraged. Leaders communicated the need for greater efficiencies, which included both of the above. Severance may be offered within specific BUs and functions.

You missed the boat. You’ll have to jump off without a golden parachute.
