Looking at how much it’s costing to pay out severance, I wonder how long they’ll keep it up before making significant changes to it.

It hasn't changed in 20 years....
35 weeks was standard. I would not be surprised to see that reduced especially with Russo retiring.
This was discussed few years ago. TBH Verizon is way the best in payouts. Look at Amazon and Googles and what they are paying. So this has nothing but one way to go. Lucky are those that took the VSP. Wait till the next package offered.
