The Sept 4 date isn't a huge surprise since that pay period will end on Sept 5. But the move from July 15 to July 27 is incredibly annoying. Most people have weighed all the (few) details given and based their decision on that; now they're changing things the day before the deadline. Come on... I guess they don't want to tank the stock before the earnings call on 7/28, which means any notifications for VSP approvals will likely start coming out EOD on 7/27, or possibly after the earnings call on 7/28 ("on or about July 27").
@ak I took a picture of it with my personal phone. I'm documenting everything.
They did that with PHCO cm audits beginning of the year and all of a sudden people who got 100s have audits issues and started this whole compliance thing where things that dont count as compliance they sey they do.
@ab It was only sent to those VSP eligible and to not forward per the email banner.

the email basically said: application period closes tomorrow; do not apply if you don’t want to leave; we will accept most applications; we’ll notify you of the status on July 27; anticipated separation date is now Sept 4.
I need to go on maternity leave.. can I go on and go on .. I’m trying to wait - but I’m scared to go ahead with the vsp cr-p. I’ve already applied. I would be on leave until around sept 4
@a5 Yes. Out of NO WHERE: My dept. has been getting new audit scores (I’m talking folks that had 100%s for..ahem.. years)..now suddenly have a new NCQA policy made in the last few days that they didn’t meet/score.
Can they really implement brand new ways to audit performance without first educating the employees to learn? Is this legal guys I need to know.. b/c they do NOT want to pay all of us Layoff and Unemployment agreements when “firing” ppl is way easier omfg

@OP I’m on medical leave so haven’t seen today’s email, can you share here? W the date for us to accept BSP changed, or just the date that we find out if it’s approved or not?
I wonder if they are trying to reframe their language around the VSP due to potential future legal issues with employees. This all should have been information that was shared with us from the start and not the day before the application deadline.

for me, it’s not a matter of how they’re handling this (which is abysmal), but staying means an increase in work and no increase in pay. GOODBYE.

My first thought is why are they changing from July 15 to the 27 just to drag it all out! In hopes that people will go ahead and jump ship! To look for reasons to fire people! Some people need to go ahead and move on and are anticipating this package because we all know times are hard and a lot of people are exhausted and this waiting is excruciating! Feeling of being held for other reasons than business needs. We know the stock market is about to crash. This is unbelievable!
@a1 So the goal post has been moved. We now have to wait until the second quarter earning call. Complete BS! Been here for 15 yrs. I’m over this cr-p.
I think it’s so ghetto of them to add this “clarification” 1 day before the deadline. Also, why extend the dates of letting people know if they are approved?! And I also don’t like how she bolded “only apply if you were planning to leave” like no I wasn’t but you guys are stressing me out and making me want to leave by the way you’re handling all of this. Wtff it just seems like they are changing the tone of their messaging at the last minute so that it’s more palatable but it’s still cr-ppy all around.
